The end of the EC journey can present some special challenges due to the age and developmental stage of your child, the natural progression towards Independence, and the strong emotions associated with change and growth. The Graduation Challenge offers a checklist of ideas for navigating this period.


Graduation Challenge:

- Let your child notice when he needs to eliminate

- Let your child practice wiping, but teach proper wiping hygiene

- Provide private potty places

- Let your child return to diapers if she wants to

- Continue to treat misses matter-of-factly

- Create a scrapbook of your EC journey together
